Boston Harbor Swim

The Boston Sharkfest swim is a truly great swim the Team Hydro lineup.  This years Boston Swim will take place on September 9, 2018!

Our first Boston Harbor swim, which took place in 2013, was a great success as we assembled a wonderful group of swimmers, including researchers, teachers, students, and business folk! Team Hydro has returned to “Beantown” every year since and has made “Boston Proud” with our presence!

This beautiful swim takes Team Hydro swimmers across the historic Boston Harbor, from Piers Park Sailing Center in east Boston to the swim finish at the John Joseph Moakley US Federal Courthouse at Fan Pier in South Boston. The view is outstanding, the water a delight, and the camaraderie formed amongst swimmers and on-land supporters cant be beat!! Team Hydro looks forward to closing out our 2017 season in Boston once again–wont you join us?!

While Boston Harbor is best known for its tasty seafood and as the location of the famous Boston Tea Party (“No intubation without research representation!” they cried…or something like that!), Boston also happens to be a center for major biomedical research — including Hydrocephalus research.  In fact, the Boston Children’s hospital where Kate was born in 1984, pioneered many of the most effective treatments for Hydrocephalus, and continues to be a site of continued groundbreaking research and study in the disease.

We look forward to continuing a great tradition of swimming in Boston Harbor in the name of Hydrocephalus!  COME JOIN US!!!
